The Most Rev Kevin Michael Britt served as the Tenth Bishop of Grand Rapids Michigan from October 13, 2003 Till May 15, 2004 he was the son of the late Rose and Edward Britt brother of Virginia Pitman servant of God for more than 30 years attended the Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit Michigan and recevied a bachelor's degree in philosophy a master's of divine degree from St. John's Provincial Seminary in Plymouth Michigan. He was ordained a priest in June of 1970 at St. Agatha's Catholic Church in Redford Michigan he served as spirtual director at the Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit Michigan and served as pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Dearborn Michigan until 1990 when he became a monsignor His Holiness Pope Saint John Paul II named him the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese in November of 1993. In December of 2002 Pope Saint John Paul II named him bishop of Grand Rapids Michigan. Visitation will be held at the Cathedral of St. Andrew on Wednesday from 7:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and from noon till 9:00 P.M on Thursday a vigil sevice will be at 7:00 P.M. Funeral on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with Cardinal Adam Maida officating
