Kenneth Burnel Nickey, of Hanover, passed peacefully with his loving wife and family by his side June 27, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth L. (Leister) Nickey whom he wed July 21, 1974.

Born November 9, 1912, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Philip and Bessie (Gulden) Nickey.

Mr. Nickey retired from Farmers Bank & Trust in 1982 after 53 years of service.

He was a member of Hanover High School Class of 1930, St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover, Patmos Lodge, Hanover Royal Arch9 Chapter, PHP, Bethel Commandery-Knights Templar, Penn Council, Zembo Temple, Valley of Harrisburg Consistory, York County Shrine, Central Penn Scottish Rite Club, National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1797, and AARP Chapter 669.

Kenneth leaves behind his devoted wife, Elizabeth; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Wallace Nickey in 1968, his daughter, Barbara N. Bair in 1989, his brothers, Robert Nickey and Donald Nickey and his sisters, Kathleen Stahl and Betty Noel.

Burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery.
