Roman George Anders, a long-time resident of Campbellsport, died Aug. 15 at the age of 91.

The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac and the staff of St. Agnes Hospice Care for their very devoted and loving care.

He was born Feb. 17, 1917 the second child of seven children of the farming family of Herman and Theresa Anders. On Aug. 3, 1940 he married Marie Kleiber of Campbellsport. They resided in Campbellsport during their lives. He was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Campbellsport.

Survivors include three sisters and a brother; Alita(Albert)Feucht of West Bend, Viola(Ervin)Gonnering of West Bend, Leona(Frank dec.)Lord of West Bend, David(Christine) of Green Bay; by his fourteen children, Joseph(Krystyna) of Racine, Thomas(Barbara) of Walnut Creek, CA, Jude(Paula) of Glendale, Mike(Ellen) of Big Bend, Paul of Milwaukee, Mary(Mike) Koslowski of Oshkosh, Louise Makhija of Pewaukee, Joan(Norm)Wold of Menomonee Falls, James of Campbellsport, Gary of North Fond du Lac, Patrick of Campbellsport, Jeffrey(Linda) of Campbellsport, Jean(Brett)Weed of Sussex, Randall(Cheryl) of Herndon, VA; by his thirty-three grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marie on April 14, 1998, by his parents Herman and Theresa and by two brothers, Harold and Edward.

He came to live in the Campbellsport area in 1929 when his parents purchased a farm on County Hwy. V just north of Campbellsport. During his life he worked for the Village of Campbellsport, as a machine shop equipment operator at West Bend Co. early in his life and then again for 20+ years after the age 65 at Johnson Hydraulic Gear in Kewaskum/West Bend. But he was best known in the local community for his work with C.J. Kleinhans Co. and from his home for repairing radios televisions and appliances. This work brought him into contact with many area residents. His devotion to his work however was always secondary to his support and loving care for his family who will miss him very much.
