Lucinda "Lucy" Longmire Craig
Birth: 1805
North Carolina, USA
Death: Nov. 15, 1900
Union County
Tennessee, USA

Daughter of John Longmire and Nancy Marshall. Sister to Anny Longmire, Phoebe Longmire, Elizabeth Longmire and John Franklin Longmire.

Lucinda had 3 children (a son, John Franklin Longmire, a daughter, Nancy Longmire/Craig Reeves, and another daughter, Barbara "Barbary" Longmire Miller) out of wedlock before marrying John Craig.

Lucinda married John Craig about 1830 in Tennessee. Lucinda and John had 4 children as follows: Lucinda Craig Flatford Neil, Mr. James "Jim" A. Craig, Mr. John R. "Dump" Craig, and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Craig Miller.

Lucinda was listed as very feeble on the 1900 census in Union County, Tennessee. The census was taken on 6 Jun 1900. Five months before she died.

Lucinda is listed with having birth years between 1805 and 1812 in the census records. I am using the 1850 census record to establish hervdate of birth. This is the earliest census record that has her individually listed with an age. I believe the birth date on her headstone is incorrect.

This is my great, great, great grandmother.
