MINTER CITY - Grover Lee Kyle died Friday, May 29, 2009, at his home.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2009, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with burial in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville.
Wilson and Knight Funeral Home of Greenwood was in charge of the arrangements.

Services for Grover Lee Kyle of Minter City will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Mr. Kyle, 93, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at his home in Minter City.
Mr. Kyle was born May 8, 1916 in Choctaw County to Buster and Leona McIntyre Kyle. He was a graduate of Weir High School, where he played basketball, football and ran track. He served in the U.S. Army during World Ward II, serving from 1941 to 1945. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where he had perfect attendance in Sunday School for 48 years.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lillian Mims Kyle; a daughter, Patricia Kyle Gulledge of Greenwood and her husband, Morgan; two sons, David Wayne Kyle of Grenada and his wife, Charlene, and Tommy Lee Kyle of Minter City and his wife, Ann; three sisters, Gladys Kyle West of Pearl, Ola Irene Kyle Hoover of Winona and Bobbie Faye Kyle Collum of Ackerman; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home
Pallbearers will be Kristopher David Kyle, Kyle McBride Thach, William Morgan Gulledge III, Matthew Tanner Garrett, Billy Craig Steen and Jimmy Chandler. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Walter Moses, Nathan Goss, the staff of StaHome Hospice and members of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Wilson and Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville.
Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Village or a charity of the donor's choice.
