Marion E. Johnson, 80, a retired Baptist minister and farmer expired at the Hamilton General Hospital Sunday, October 31, 1982, after an extended illness.
The Rev. John Weaver officiated at the services in Riley Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 2. Burial followed in the Shive Public Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson was born in the Evergreen community, February 12, 1902, the son of Marion Harvey Johnson and Elizabeth Ann Adams Johnson. He lived in the Hamilton area all of his life. He was married to Winnie F. Glover, at Vista Mountain, August 6, 1924.
He is survived by his wife, Winnie Johnson of Hamilton; two sons, W. W. Johnson of League City, and Marion Winifred "M. W." Johnson of Blue Ridge; three daughters, Mrs. Wanda Wathen of Conroe, Mrs. Marjorie Fowler of Weatherford, and Mrs. Patricia Drake of Abilene; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Douglas and Mrs. Evelyn Curtis both of Hamilton; two brothers, Earl Johnson and Bud Johnson, both of Hamilton, also 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Larry Fowler, Jr., Vern Walthen, Andy Drake, Brian Johnson, Mark Heith, and Glenn Casey.
