GEORGE M. HYDE, COUNTY PIONEER, DIES AT LAMAR
George M. Hyde, pioneer resident of Fremont county and a resident of Coal Creek for fifty years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. M. Booth in Lamar early Tuesday morning.
Mr. Hyde was 77 years of age and had been ailing for the past four years. He died as a result of old age and complications.
His widow and daughter, Mrs. R. M. Booth are the only immediate survivors known.
Mr. and Mrs. Hyde have made their home with the Booths for the past number of years. When they moved to Lamar three years ago with their family, the Hydes accompanied them there.
Mr. Hyde was active in civic circles when a resident of the Coal Creek section. He was a member of the Baptist church and attended regularly until his failing health did not permit him to get around. The family also resided at short intervals at Rockvale, Canon City and Florence.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed; however, it was announced that burial would be in Union Highland cemetery at Florence under the direction of C. C. Holt, funeral director.
