Shannon Isaac Gallegos was born July 3, 1971 in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Shannon died in a tragic motor vehicle accident on January 19, 2011.

He attended Clifton Elementary and then graduated from Fruita Monument High School in 1989, while also participating with the Grand Junction Police Cadets.

After graduation, Shannon served in the U.S. Air Force. After returning home he completed a five year apprenticeship program and became a master plumber as well as a pipefitter and welder. He excelled in all these areas and he was employed the last three years as a general foreman on mechanical systems phase at St. Mary's Hospital.

Our Shannon had an optimistic attitude and lived by his life credo "it is what it is, you deal with it". He had a beautiful smile, outgoing personality and enjoyed his life. He worked hard and was dedicated to everything he put his mind to.

His big loves were music, his guitar, golf, and his Harley. He has many devoted and wonderful friends. Everyone who met him and who worked with him liked and respected him. There is nothing in this world that can ever begin to fill the void of losing Shannon in such a tragic way. He will live in our hearts forever. We Love You Shannon.

Shannon married Natalie Arpke in Las Vegas on March 15, 1997. He raised four stepchildren, Briana, Anthony, Levi and Adam, whom he loved and cherished as his own. The light of his life was his grandson, baby Jaymz.

Survivors include his parents, Isaac and Ruth Gallegos, of Grand Junction; one brother, Solomon (Yen) Gallegos; two nieces, Celeste and Kaylee, of Grand Junction ; one sister, Debbie (Alex) Montoya; and two nephews, Richard and Phillip, of Pagosa Springs.
