Marcus was the youngest of 3 Morris children who migrated west from Hennesssey, Oklahoma. He worked in the US Navy Shipyard during WW II for Bethlehem Shipbuilding and was a Longshoreman and member of the Grange and Moose.
He was employed at Knotts Berry Farm, Buena Park, California, after the war in an acting position. He played a western cowboy in Berry Farm street entertainment skits, defending Stagecoach and passengers against robbers.
Marcus also held a special deputy badge after the war from Orange County, California
