Helen P. Finch, 82, Port Charlotte, died Feb. 16, 2003. She was born Sept. 5, 1920 in Spartanburg, SC and came to Port Charlotte in 1974 from Port Washington, Long Island, NY. She was the manager of Self Service Shoe in Port Charlotte until it closed in 1991. Survivors include daughter Lynn E. Amberg of Punta Gorda; son Michael T. of Lawrenceville, GA.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Port Charlotte. Inurnment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte. Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Charlotte Chapel, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
