He was the son of the late, Andy and Lucy Brock Satterfield and was preceded in death by his step-mother, Thelma Williams Satterfield; brother, Herschel Satterfield and a sister, Alwayne Welch.
Charlie was a veteran of the United States Army, was a member of Carolyn Baptist Church and worked in the Crown Cotton Mills before retiring with Tufting Machine Company.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Billie Brookshire Satterfield; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Kayanne Satterfield; granddaughter, Brooke Satterfield.
Brothers and sisters-in-law, C.L. and Christine Satterfield, Howard and Shirley Satterfield; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alilene Joyce, Dimple and Winfred Burnett, Delene and Harold Fisher.
Services were held in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Dewayne White officiating. Burial was in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
