Charlotte Pierce Lister - Born October 22, 1943 went to meet her Savior on December 25, 2009.
She graduated from Satsuma High School in 1961, University of Alabama and Mobile College.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Lister; father, Willie Cecil Pierce (he was killed in March 1945 on final push to Berlin) and mother Frances Varden Pierce; daddy Eligie Ellison; sisters, Patty Eubanks, Jo Caroline Godwin and Joan Moorer.
She is survived by her children, Jay and Kim, Kenneth, Shannon and Helena Lister; grandchildren, Tara Lister, Dalton and Dakota, and Damian; brothers, Barry and Delaine Ellison, Sterlin and Wanda Varden; sisters, Margie Hougesen (Clifford), Jan Beckham (Johnny) and Jennifer Howle; nine nephews, Kenneth Ellison, Jacob Ellison, Jeremy Ellison, Eugene Godwin, Brian Godwin, Frankie Moorer, Terry Hougesen, Shane Howle and Tommy Eubanks; nieces, Rose Loge, Stephanie Walley, Tabitha Dunn, Tammy Jordan, Bronica Stokes, Kim Stagner, Jessica Bodden, Shawnie Rogers, Terry Jo Knapp and Dr. Jackie Beckham Dove. She wanted all of her homeless boys that came and went through her and Sams home to know she did not forget them and still wishes them all well. She had numerous cousins that are a part of her extended family. Charlotte served on the Creola Planning Board since 1988. She served twelve years on the Lemoyne Water Board. She was one of the original Board members of the Creola Community Development Origination. The CCDO in cooperation with the City of Creola worked to get the Creola Park started. To all her friends at the Creola Senior Center, she wanted you to know that she loved each and every one of you. Be good to each other and love with all your heart, you do not know when you will be led home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Creola Cemetery. Arrangements are by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571.
