James Roy Davis, age 64 of Peachland died on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007 at his home located on Hwy.#218, Peachland, NC. He was born April 19, 1943 son of the late Jody Ralph Davis and Lois Alice Horne Davis. Grandson of the late Joseph Daniel Davis and Flonnie Carolina Auston Davis; great grandson of the late James Henderson Davis and Marth Emmaline Harris Davis. A service celebrating his life was held on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at New Home Baptist Churchwill interment that followed in Deep Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family greeted friends on Sept. 8, 2007 at Leavitt Funeral Home. He was the owner and opeator of Precision Piping in Marshville for 20 years, a member of New Home Baptist Church and Beaver Dam Masonic Lodge #276 in Marshville, NC. Survinig are his wife of 39 years, Gilla Page Davis of the home; his son, Jamie Davis of Marshville; his daughter, Tonya and husband Chris Johnson of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Dalton and Daniel Davis of Marshville; Tiffany, Cassidy and McKenzy Johnson, all of Wadesboro, and Lauren Johnson of Boone; his brothers, Robert and wife Robin Davis, and Boyce and wife Glenda Davis all of Peachland; his sisters, Betty Davis Hasty and Linda Davis Brewer, both of Peachland; Ruby (Davis) and husband Ken Curran of Polkton; Martha Davis of Wadesboro, and Karen (Davis) and husband Jody Hyatt of Charlotte; and his brothers-in-laws, Kenneth and wife Carolyn Page of Locust, and J.
