"George Rayburn Belew, widely known Carroll Countian, died at his home near Clarksburg on Thursday of last week.
Mr. Belew, who was 66, was a member of the Church of Christ. He obeyed the gospel at Roans Creek in early manhood and lived a humble consecrated life.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nora Rigsby Belew; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Taylor of Roans Creek; two sons, Leslie Belew of Roans Creek and John Landis Belew of Lexington; also six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Roans Creek Church conducted by Bro. B. C. Larkin of Bruceton with burial at the church cemetery with Dilday Funeral Home in charge."
