Lois Marie (Barrow) Boruff, 83, of Unionville, died Wednesday at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Dec. 22, 1918, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of John T. and Vessie (Hazel) Barrow.
A homemaker, her life centered around her family, her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a kind-hearted, caring mother who enjoyed singing.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include her husband, Paul C. Boruff of Unionville; one son, Lloyd Boruff of Unionville; three daughters, Phyllis and Robert "Gene" Hollers of Springville, Sandra and Michael Tarter of Bloomington and Cheryl Boruff and Mike Smith of Unionville; two grandsons, Tom Boruff and Joe Tarter; four granddaughters, Pam Holt, Tamara Hollers, Paula Escue and Terri Axsom; four great-grandsons, Michael Axsom, Jake Tarter, Tobe Hollers and Tony Robinson; two great-granddaughters, Nikki Moiser and Ashley Axsom; and four sisters, Edna Ridge and Eva Hollars, both of Sanders, Dorothy Newton of Solsberry and Betty Corbin of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Gillham; and four brothers, John Barrow Jr., Leonard Barrow, Oscar Barrow and Floyd Goodman.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, with Brother Michael Douglas officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
