Elvie A. Chapman
Milton-Freewater-- Grave side funeral service for Elvie A. Chapman will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Milton Freewater Cemetery.
Mrs. Chapman, 84, of Meridian, Idaho, formerly of Milton Freewater, died Thursday, July 27, 1989, at Meridian.
She was born Jan. 9, 1905 at Dennison, Iowa, to Earnest and Emily Henderson Stone.
She lived most of her life at Wichita, Kansas.
On December 18, 1936, she married Dr. Clifford Chapman at Wichita. The couple moved to Puyallup, Washington where they lived for 20 years.
Mrs. Chapman worked as a dental assistant in her husbands dental practice.
The couple moved to Milton Freewater where they stayed for six years. Chapman died in 1979 and a year after his death, Mrs. Chapman moved to Boise to be near her daughter.
She had attended the Calvary First Assembly of God Church in Boise.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce (Mrs. Melvin) Lane of Boise; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home Milton-Freewater, is in charge of arrangements.
