"Milton - Feb. 18 – After a prolonged period of intense suffering Albert Akins died last Friday morning at 1 o'clock of complication of diseases at his home at Baldwin's Corners. He was 58 years of age, having been born in Austintown township in 1855. Though one of ten children, no brothers and only one sister survive him. Of his immediate family, his wife, two sons, Winans of Jackson township and Carl home and one daughter, Mrs. Nora Johnston of Niles survive. The deceased has been for many years a resident of Milton township where he kept a general store and was also a plasterer and bricklayer by trade. For the greater part of his life he has been a member of the M. E. church. He was also a member of North Jackson K of P lodge. He was of a kind and generous disposition, ever ready to do a kindness and leaves a host of friends to mourn his loss. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon. Burial in the North Jackson cemetery."
