Noreen Baird, 80, died Sept. 24, 2004, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born March 2, 1924, at Hutchinson, the daughter of Chester Lee Oliver and Bessie Olive Martin Marrs. She graduated from Hutchinson High School and received her radiology technician degree from Grace Hospital. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, she was head of the radiology department at Hutchinson Clinic, retiring after 36 years.
She belonged to South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, Women of the Moore Hutchinson Chapter no. 1371. Ark Valley Sam's Camping Club, Bluegrass Association of Kansas and Delos V. Smith Senior Center.
On April 25, 1942, she married Clyde A. Baird at Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: a son, Randy L., and Marsha, Topeka; a daughter, Timora Schrader, a husband Phil, Gladstone, Mo.; two sisters, Cleo Ramsey, Hutchinson, and Colleen McIver, Partridge; four grandchildren; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Thomas
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Richard E. Zimmerman presiding. Friends may call from 12 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, all at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County of American Cancer Society, both in care of the mortuary.
