He passed away at his home in Mt. Ayr. He was the son of Gladys (Hagens) and Orr"Pete" Reynolds. Born in Mt. Ayr. He graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1947. On Nov. 9, 1946, he married Colleen Anderson. On April 27, 1974, he married Helen Merritt. He worked as a carpenter and mason. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and was a member of American Legion Ringgold Post No. 172, VFW and the First Christian Church. He had 3 daughters; Cathy Shoesmith, Carri Duckworth,and Debra Robertson; 2 stepdaughters, Beverly Noble and Betty Joan Schlapia; a stepson Rick Merritt. 1 brother, Norman Reynolds.
