Funeral services for Lillie Norman Watkins, 87, of Wardell, were held Monday, June 28, 1993, at 11:00 a.m. at the Baptist Church in Wardell with Reverend Kevin Carter officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Cemetery in Wardell with the Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Watkins died Friday, June 25, 1993, at the Pemiscot Health Systems.
Mrs. Watkins was born January 15, 1906, in Caruthersville, the daughter of the late William and Ida Berry Camp. In 1931, in Pemiscot County, she married P.A. Watkins, who preceded her in death on December 2, 1986.
Mrs. Watkins is survived by: three sons, Tony Watkins, of Wardell, Lee Edward Watkins, of Hayti, and Norris Allen Watkins, of Wardell; one daughter, Dolores Shires, of Fruitland Park, Florida; three brothers, George Camp, of Hayti, James Camp of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Boyd Camp, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Pearl Long, of Caruthersville, Martha Summar, of Hayti, and Mary Chappell, of Wardell; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. Watkins was preceded in death by one son P.A. Watkins Jr.
