Son of Ernest M. and Edna Gertrude McQueen Adams. Denver married Pauline Ogden on July 12, 1938; she preceded him in death on July 26, 1989.
A graduate of Coe College in 1934, he worked for Wilson and Co. as a cattle-buyer until 1942. He entered the Navy in 1942 and was discharged in 1945. Mr. Adams then became owner and partner of Ogden and Adams Lumber, Cedar Rapids, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Thursday Noon Lions Club and numerous lumber dealer organizations.
Surviving are very close friends, Margaret and Wayne Mead of Cedar Rapids; and four cousins, Mac Fish of Waterloo, Dick Miller of Yakima, Wash., Jacqueline Fieseler of Clear Lake and Winifred Davis of Arlington Heights, Ill.
