GUILDERLAND -- Irene Boulerice Balmes , 62, of East Old State Road, Guilderland, died September 6, 2001 at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany after a short illness. Born in Cohoes, NY, she was a lifelong Capital District resident. Irene was a homemaker and communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Schenectady. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Edward J. Balmes Sr.; one son, Edward J. Balmes Jr. of Rotterdam; two daughters, Debra Livingston of Rotterdam and Lisa Fountain of Guilderland; three brothers, Rene Boulerice of Clifton Park, Paul Boulerice of Halfmoon and Marcel Boulerice of Largo, FL; one sister, Jean Heroux of Cohoes; and four grandchildren. Services will be held 9:30 Monday morning at the Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State Street, Schenectady. Calling hours 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial, St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions to Western Tpk. Rescue Squad, 1857 Western Ave., Albany, NY 12203.
