WILLARD – Vernon R. Fries, 77, Thomas Road, Willard, died Sunday in Willard Area Hospital after an illness of two days. Born in Havana, he lived in the Willard area all his life.
He had been engaged in farming and attended the Church of the Master, Steuben, Ohio.
Surviving is his wife, Mildred; a son, Harold, Willard; a daughter, Corinne Stiving, Bishop, Ga.; seven grandchildren and a greatgrandchild.
A son, Kenneth, preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today and Tuesday afternoon and evening at Secor Funeral Home, 202 Maple St., Willard. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. R.A. Maugans, Church of the Master, officiating.
Burial will be in Centerton Cemetery, Centerton, Ohio.
