ARCADIA — Eleanor M. Kulig, 87, of Arcadia, Wis., passed away Saturday, February 4, 2006, at the Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Nursing Home in Arcadia.
She was born October 22, 1918, in the town of Arcadia to Albert and Clara (Suchla) Waldera. On October 12, 1942, Eleanor married Aloizy Kulig. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1984.
Eleanor was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. She had worked in the housekeeping department for St. Joseph's Hospital in Arcadia.
She is survived by six children, Jim (Donna) Kulig of Onalaska, Wis., Carol (Lenny) Litscher of Fountain City, Wis., Jerry (Sue) Kulig of Eau Claire, Wis., Gary "Boo" (Sue) Kulig of Arcadia, Bob (Rose) Kulig of Onalaska, and Mary Kay "Katie" (Dave) Kriesel of Fountain City; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernadine (Aloizy) Klimek of Arcadia and Margie Walek of Independence, Wis.; and one brother, Alfred "Fritz" (Lorraine) Waldera of La Crosse, Wis.
Preceding Eleanor in death were her parents and husband.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at the Holy Family Parish-St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia, with Father Michael Klos officiating. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the Wozney Funeral Home in Arcadia, where there will be a 6 p.m. prayer service. Friends may also call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the church.
Serving as casket bearers will be Eleanor's grandsons, Mike Kulig, Kevin Litscher, Jeff Kulig, Nicholas Kulig, Paul Kulig, Mark Kulig, Ryan Kulig and B.J. Kriesel.
