According to his World War I Draft Registration card dated September 12, 1918, serial number 9. His full name was John Francis Culler. His address was Plum Run, Fulton County, Pennsylvania. His age was 19 years, he was born, November 13, 1898. He was listed as working as a farm laborer. He was listed as medium height, medium built, grey eyes and brown hair.

In the 1930 census, John and his family were living in Ayr Township, Fulton County, Pennsylvania. He was listed as John Culler, a milk hauler, age 31 born in Pennsylvania, his wife, Lelia age 28 born in Pennsylvania, their children listed were; Marjorie age 8, Merle age 7, H. James age 5, Betty J. age 3, Evelyn J. age 1 yr, and 10 months, and Gerald L. age 10 months, all born in Pennsylvania

John F. Culler, well-known Fulton County farmer, is now operating the Farm Bureau service agency in McConnellsburg, taking over from C.B. Weller on January 3.

John F. Culler of Ayr Township is starting into the auctioneering business and will officiate at the sale of the farm stock and implements of the late Mrs. George V. Hess on February 26.

John F. Culler of McConnellsburg, farmer, feed store owner and auctioneer, and Foster Swope of Needmore, teacher and farmer, have been selected through the People to People Program to participate in a goodwill mission that will take them to Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union. Enos Heisey, former Fulton County Agway representative, will be the group leader on the tour, which will leave July 23 and return on August 13. They are scheduled to attend meetings, interviews and receptions with foreign government officials throughout the tour. The purpose of their visit will be to learn methods and working conditions in an attempt to improve relations and understanding between Americans and people of other countries.

John F. Culler, 81, of McConnellsburg R.D. 1, died Friday June 13, 1980, in the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg. Born November 13, 1898, in Thompson Township, Fulton County, he was the son of Isaac and Elizabeth (Bishop) Culler. He is survived by his wife, Lelia (Comerer) Culler; and the following children; Mrs. Marjorie Glenn, Merrill Culler, H. J. Culler, Mrs. Jean Weller, Delores Souders, Martha Gordon and Patricia Horton, all of McConnellsburg; Mrs. Betty Davis of Doraville, Georgia and Mrs. Sandra Shaffer of Huntingdon. There are 28 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Lloyd Culler of Mercersburg and a sister, Mrs. Mary Peck of McConnellsburg.
A former county commissioner of Fulton County, Mr. Culler was a farmer and auctioneer, and was formerly associated with the John F. Culler and Son Agway feed business. He was a member and treasurer of the Fulton County Medical Center, and a member of the Harrisburg Consistory and the Jaffa Temple of Altoona. He was also a member of the Mount Zion Lodge No. 774, free and Accepted Masons. A member of the United Methodist Church of McConnellsburg, Mr. Culler served as a trustee and official board member of the church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, at 11 a.m. in the United Methodist Church of McConnellsburg with the Revs. David Cheslock and Dr. David R. Hoover officiating. Interment will be in Damascus Cemetery.
