Dolly Haynes, 84, of Gloster, died July 30, 2008, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Visitation is 6 to 8 tonight at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster and 10 a.m. Friday until services there at 11. The Rev. Odus Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster.
Mrs. Haynes was born Sept. 26, 1923, in Centreville to William W. and Elma Shropshire Duty.
She was a retired telephone operator with Southern Bell Telephone Company (AT&T) and was a member of Galilee Baptist Church in Gloster.
Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence C. Haynes; and two sisters, Ruth Davis and Bessie Aspen [sic Aspan].
Survivors include a son, Tommy Fries of Gloster; a sister, Phalby Ashley of Hattiesburg; two nephews, Michael Aspen and A.M. Davis Jr., both of Texas; and a niece, Rita Ashley of Hattiesburg.
