Alfredo Sanchez Gonzalez, Jr.

Mr. Alfredo Sanchez Gonzalez, Jr. age 62, of Wylie, Texas passed away August 2, 2010, in McKinney, Texas.

He was born January 22, 1948, in Beeville, Texas to Alfredo Gonzalez, Sr. and Oralia (Sanchez) Gonzalez. He grew up in Sinton, Texas where he attended schools.

On April 7, 1973, he married Elma Castillo in Austin, Texas.

Mr. Gonzalez proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He worked for the Collin County Sheriffs Department for over 20 years. Mr. Gonzalez was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Elma; father and stepmother, Alfredo Gonzalez, Sr. and Catalina Gonzalez; siblings, Luis Antero S. Gonzalez and wife, Esperanza and Raul S. Gonzalez, Olga S. Gonzalez Longoria, David S. Gonzalez and wife, Toni, and Raymond S. Gonzalez and wife, Janie; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2010, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Danny Buster officiating.

Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home
