Born Sept 18 1891 in Medina Tenn, he entered the army at the age of 18 years and spent most of his army career at Fort Sill. He served in Germany, France and Belgium during the First World War and, after his return to the States and discharge from the army, he returned to Belguim to marry Miss Jeanne Victorine Martine Simon, whom he first met during his wartime station there.
After their marriage Sept 9, 1922 they returned to the United States to make their home. Sgt Reynolds re-enlisted in the army in 1923 and was stationed in Panama with the 77th Field Artillery when World War II began. He served there until late in 1942.
After 27 years of army service, he was honorably discharged at Lawson general hospital, Atlanta, Ga. due to disability incurred in the line of duty. Sgt. and Mrs Reynolds made Lawton their home in 1944. He was a member of the local Masonic Lodge and joined the Baptist church in early boyhood.
Services were held in the Lawton funeral home chapel with burial in Fort Sill cemetery.
Survivors include his wife and a son, Jack Junior Reynolds, 3 brothers, P.O Reynolds, Jennings Okla, W.H.Reynolds, Haskell Tex. and M.W.Reynolds, Kerrville, Tex. a step-brother Lt. Col (retired) Harry E. Hagan, Atlanta, Ga. and four sisters, Mrs W.L Cunningham, Mclain, Tex. Mrs. C.F Neel, Rule, Tex. Mrs. Ed Kelly, Hamplin, Tex. and Mrs. Mary Tucker, Lufkin, Tex.
