Mattie White was a life member of the Waunita Chapter #37, Order of Eastern Star, and had been awarded her 50 year pin in the order; she was a member of the Community Church, the Gunnison County Pioneer and Historical Society, and the Gunnison Elks Ladies.
Mrs. White is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Rhoda White of Grand Junction, and Miss Eleanor Gavette, Gunnison; three grandchildren, Bobby, Billy, and Betty White, Grand Junction, and one brother, George Smith of Pueblo. Mrs Rhoda White and children arrived yesterday afternoon for the services.
