Kenneth William Alexander, a former Klamath Falls resident, died Monday at Emanuel Hospital in Portland after a long illness. He was 40.
Born in Dayville to Clara Belle and L.B. Sturgell, June 27, 1937, Mr. Alexander came to Klamath Falls when he was 5. He attended Fairhaven School and later Henley High School.
Mr. Alexander enlisted in the U.S. Navy when he was 17. He retired August 2, 1976, at the rate of Chief Petty Officer. Military interment will be held in Hawaii, where his family lives.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife Gloria, a son, Brennan, and a daughter, Nolani, all of Hawaii; brothers, Charles Sturgell, London, England, and Bill Sturgell, Hammond, sisters, Letha Cunha, Klamath Falls, and Elsie Lee Fox, Central Point and his father, L.B. Sturgell, Boise, Idaho.
