Death: Sep. 14, 1882

Married bet. 1880-1881 to Elizabeth Alice Buker 1861-1929. They had one living son, Walter Franklin Leavell and two children died either at birth or young. They probably married in Udell Twp., Appanoose Co., IA where David is from and also where David and two of his sisters, Victoria and Nancy married two of Elizabeth's brothers, Charles Franklin and Robert Boal Buker. It is known the Leavell's and Buker's went to Colorado to do mining, most likely for gold as they ended up mining for gold in the State of Washington. Elizabeth moved on to Washington with her young family and a new husband, Caleb Antrim, shortly after the birth of her and David's youngest child.
