Glen D. Stinson much loved husband, father, and brother; grandfather (Papa) and great-grandfather passed away with his family at his side on May 31, 2009, after a very courageous 5 year battle with Myelodysplasia (MDS).

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 1:30 PM at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Glen was born in Portland, Oregon, son of Guy Eugene and Marguerite (Snow) Stinson on March 6, 1932.

After attending Benson High School, he spent four years in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Cascade A.D. 16.

Returning to Portland where in 1957 he married Leona Lee Woolfe. They had 5 sons; he is preceded in death by 2 sons and 2 brothers.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, 3 sons, Dan of Milwaukie, OR, Scott of Woodburn, OR and Jamey of Beaverton, OR and daughter-in-law Christine Stinson of Portland, OR; six granddaughters, one grandson, one great-grandson and his last surviving sibling Dorothy Elkins of Gresham, OR and many nieces and nephews.

He was a Teamsters driver for Local 162 and delivered wholesale groceries for 32 years. Upon retirement he and Lee moved to McMinnville, OR and enjoyed many years of traveling in their R.V., fishing and crabbing and many times camping with family and many friends on the Oregon Coast.

He will be greatly missed.
