Service for Charlene Marie Thames, 66, of Newark was Tuesday, March 27, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Azle, Texas. Father Salvator Stefula officiated. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur.
Thames died Sunday, March 25, 2001, in Decatur, Texas.
Born Feb. 15, 1935, in Rhineland, she worked in childcare. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Azle.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Thames, and a brother, Marvin Wilde.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Ray Thames; four daughters, Carol and husband David Allen of Weatherford, Sandy and husband Rance Wier of Blanco, Lana and husband Derrell Pierce of Borger and Peggy and husband Donny Worthington of Houston; six brothers, Dennis, Cecil, Severin, Melvin and John Wilde, all of Fort Worth, and Leroy Wilde of Decatur; two sisters, Roseanne LaJaunie of Benbrook and Betty Cooper of Marlow, Okla.; 13 great grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
