Robert Brado, 74, of Posen, passed away Friday, September 19, 2003 at his home following a brief illness. Robert was born June 18, 1929 in Vanderbilt to Henry and Mabel (Sehl) Brado. He was raised in the Vanderbilt area, graduating from Vanderbilt High School in 1947. He married Carol Welling September 4, 1954 in Gaylord. They moved to the Alpena area in 1959. Robert retired from Stoneport in 1994 after 28 years of service. He was a member of Leer Lutheran Church and Alpena Hopper Lodge #199 F&AM. Mr. Brado is survived by his wife, Carol, children; Susan (Walter) Jackowiak of Lachine, Donald (Gail) Brado of Lachine, Cheryl (Mark) Freske of Rogers City; eight grandchildren; Robert (Laurie) Jackowiak, Krystal Jackowiak, James (Heather) Brado, Jennifer Brado, William Brado, Karen Freske, Becky Freske, Alan Freske, a sister; Marion Henry of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada; mother-in-law; Helen Sharrow of Gaylord and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Marjorie Loshaw, Maxine Weiberg, and three brothers; Donald, Harold, and Kermit. Funeral Services for Mr. Brado were held at Leer Lutheran Church, Rev. Daniel E. Deutsch officiating. Burial in church cemetery.
