Perry Ammons, a life long resident of Perry township, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. George Craig, of near Mt. Morris, Saturday, August 29, aged 71 years, following a few weeks' illness. Mr. Ammons was a son of Daniel and Mary Pyle Ammons, deceased, and was born July 7, 1860. He had followed farming all his life. His wife, Lyda Headlee Ammons, died nine years ago. He leaves three brothers, Simon and William, of Mt. Morris, R. D. 1, and Marion, of West Alexander.
