Emil was born on July 25, 1910, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He died on November 25, 2005, and is survived by his wife, Dorothy Radin Arnokovich Manyin, daughter Desanie of Phoenix and "adopted daughter," Colleen of Phoenix. He also is survived my many loving nieces and nephews. Emil and Dorothy moved to Tucson from Pennsylvania in 1968. They were faithful members of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, where Emil was honored as "Man of the Year"on Father's Day,2002. Both of them worked tirelessly helping prepare pastries and food for the annual Greek Festival. He was a man of few words, a man who never had an enemy, and was beloved by all his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Philoptochos Society, St. Demetrios Church, 1145 East Ft. Lowell Road, Tucson, AZ. A viewing will be held December 2, 2005, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at East Lawn Palms Chapel. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 3, 2005, with internment in East Lawn Palms Cemetery in Tucson.
