Death of Well Known Citizen of Martin
After an illness of several weeks Mr. R. C Burdett died at his home just in the edge of Martin, near Hall-Moody school, on Monday night.
Mr. Burdett was 78 years of age. He had resided in that community for 45 years and was rated one of the best citizens of Martin. He was well known and held in the very highest esteem by everyone. He was a member of Missionary Baptist church and was one of the church leaders there. Surviving are the Widow and six children.
