Former McMinnville resident Pearlaine Fox of Portland died Aug. 27, 1999, in her home. She was 75. Her funeral was held Sunday in Newberg Church of Christ. Interment was in Valley View Memorial Park, Newberg.
She was born March 8, 1924, in Robstown, Texas, the daughter of James L. and Effie L. Eoff Floyd. She moved with her family to Dexter, N.M., in 1937.
She and Harmon Bruce Fox were married Oct. 19, 1941.
She moved to California in 1959 and lived there until her husband retired. She and her husband moved to McMinnville in 1975. Mrs. Fox worked as a cook at Linfield College and Camp Yamhill. She moved to Newberg in 1994 and most recently lived in Portland.
Survivors include four daughters, Melinda Coleman of Portland, Joyce Farquharson of San Ramon, Calif., Delores Nelson of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Sandra Butts of Powell, Wyo.; two sons, Ronald Fox of Newberg and Donald Fox of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Earlaine Stephens and Sarah Gene Spangler, both of Tahlequah, Okla.; a brother, Calvin Floyd of Amarillo, Texas; 12 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995.
