Robert was the youngest of fifteen children born to Conrad and Katherine (Miller) Lohrenz. He married Ruth Alene Reinhardt in 1955 and they were the parents of three daughters: Denise Ellen, Janelle Louise, and Claire Rene. He maried Linda Armstrong in 2003.

Robert A. Lohrenz died Dec. 17, 2010, at Powell Valley Healthcare.
He was born April 19, 1929, at the family farm several miles east of Lovell to Conrad and Katherine Lohrenz, the youngest of 15 brothers and sisters.

He attended school in Deaver for grades 1-12.

He was drafted into the Army in 1951, was stationed at Fort Warden,Wash., and assigned to the 699th Engineer Amphibious Supped Regiment. He was honorably discharged in 1953 and continued to enjoy associations with fellow Korean War veterans.

He later farmed and worked in the oil fields.

He married Alene Reinhardt, his wife of 47 years, in 1955. They had three daughters, Denise (Wyatt) Howard, Janelle (Rod) Blesener and Claire (Todd) Reno.

He spent many years farming and as a professional auctioneer. He worked with an auction firm based in Cody for 35 years and as a livestock auctioneer at Greybull Market for 23 years.

Robert married Linda Armstrong in 2003. They shared a mutual interest in enjoying the Wyoming outdoors and discussing politics.

Robert enjoyed trips to the mountains and Yellowstone Park, attending auctions and family gatherings.

One of his favorite and most anticipated times of year was the annual family picnic.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed reading everything from the cereal box to news magazines and newspapers, livestock/farm and ranch publications, novels and especially books and publications related to local and Wyoming history, geography and wildlife. He also enjoyed his horses and cattle.

He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and had many friends who shared his interests and professions.

He was an active part of the Powell farming community for many years and will be missed by his friends and family to whom he was devoted and loving.
He is survived by his wife Linda, sister Glory Frame of Powell, sister-in-law Dorothy Lohrenz of Powell, his three daughters and their spouses, and grandchildren Stacy (Justin) Eadus, Matthew (Chelsie) Howard, Katy Snapp, Nathan (Katie) Blesener, Dusty(Carrie) LaFollette, Rusty (Elisha) Reno and Desiree Reno, stepson and daughter Sam (Mandy) Armstrong and Darn (Sean) McGuire, four step-grandchildren Harrison Armstrong and Brenna, Maryn and EmmaMcGuire, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alene and all but one of his siblings.

Christian burial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Lee Wisroth officiating.
