Mark A. Bluemn, 42, of 1122 Broadway Ave., Chippewa Falls, died Sunday morning, September 29, 2002, in New Richmond, as a result of a pedestrian/automobile accident.
He was born April 20, 1960, in Chippewa Falls, where he grew up. He attended Korger-Chestnut Elementary School, Chippewa Falls Junior High School and graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School in 1978, where he played on the Chi-Hi football team. He played in Chippewa Falls Youth Hockey and was a member of the Chippewa Falls Raiders Hockey Team.
He was employed at C. T. Film until January 1980, when he moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming. He worked in the natural gas exploration field and then as a surveyor for an engineering firm. He moved back to Chippewa Falls in 1997. He has been employed at Pliant Plastic Film Manufacturing Company since 1997.
Mark married Sharon A. Faschingbauer on May 5, 2000, in Chippewa Falls. He was a member of United Steel Workers of America, Local 460, where he was a union steward and had served on the Employee Safety Committee.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Bluemn of Chippewa Falls; three daughters, Lindsey (John) Etherington of Provo, Utah, Angela Bluemn of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Haley Bluemn of Chippewa Falls; two sons, Jacob Bluemn of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Mark “Tony” Bluemn of Rock Springs; one stepdaughter, Nicole Faschingbauer of Chippewa Falls; his mother and stepfather, Mareen and Charles Roach of Chippewa Falls; a sister, Lynn Young of DeForest; two brothers, Greg Bluemn of Roberts, and Joe (Desi) Norquist of Bartlett, Ill.; two grandchildren, Cyrus and Ashlynn Etherington; his maternal grandmother, Marie Gilbertson of Chippewa Falls; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Ted McClelland of Chippewa Falls; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Lorraine Faschingbauer of Bloomer.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2002, at Central Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, with Rev. Mike Wollman officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
Mark will be remembered for his generosity, great sense of humor and as a very loving and caring husband, father and son.
