Dorothy May Cox, 59, of Morgan Ave., Williamsport, died Saturday, August 4, 2007, at her residence.

She was born in Williamsport, September 4, 1947, a daughter of Grover M. and Aileen Beryl Hignett Ringler.

She was a 1965 graduate of Williamsport High School and early in her life worked as a nurse's aide. She married Robert E. Cox in 1969 and he survives. She was associated with Little League Baseball for over 20 years. She was the overseer of the Little League Hospitality Area for 7 years. At one time, she was employed by the South Williamsport High School cafeteria. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and a life member of the Independent Fire Co Auxiliary. Early in her life, she enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Ringler Mountain Hunting Club.

She loved her two grandsons.

Besides her husband Bob, she is survived by one son, Robert E. (Gretchen) Cox of Limmerick, her mother, A.B. Ringler and a sister, Mary Jane (Dennis) Adams of Trout Run and 2 grandsons, James and Jonathan.

Dorothy's Life Celebration visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening and again from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Maneval Funeral Home, " A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport with service being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Father Thomas P. Reeder and Rev. Scott Koser officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Valley Cemetery.

Her family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions be made to either Little League Baseball, 539 Rte 15 Hwy, South Williamsport Pa 17702 or The Susquehanna Hospice, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport Pa 17701
