Funeral services for Miss Meikle Bilbrey, 88, of the Spring Creek Community of Overton County, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, from the Algood Chapel of Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Rogers officiating. Burial was in the Paran Cemetery in Overton County with Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Miss Bilbrey died Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
Born Jan. 10, 1913, in Putnam County, she was the daughter of the late J.D. "Dock" and Alva (Bilbrey) Bilbrey. Survivors include a niece, Odell Kathryn Huddleston, Cookeville; and three nephews and two nieces-in-law, John and Etoyle Warren, Nashville, and Bruce and Beverly Bilbrey and Ben Bilbrey, all of Phoenix, AZ.
Pallbearers were Tim Rich-ardson, Mike Richardson, Ron-nie Bilyeu, Jack Smith, Bill Dodson, Bill Rankin, Phillip Clark, Bobby Gentry, and Haskell Qualls.
