Birth: Feb. 29, 1836
Augusta County
Virginia, USA
Death: Jun. 12, 1864
Virginia, USA

Nicholas is buried nearby his grandmother, Hetty (Crist) Burkholder
There is no evidence at present to explain Nicholas's death at such a young age. There is no record of him joining any unit of service in the Civil War but it seems probable that his death is somehow connected to the War for Southern Independence.
