Born in Antrim, N. Ireland. Some call her Jean Robinson.
She and Ezekiel Evans and son James Evans came from Ireland to Baltimore, Maryland aboard the "Irish Volunteer" and later came to South Carolina.

She was possibly related to Matthew Robinson of Abbeville Dist, S.C., whose descendants' DNA is a close match to DNA of some Evans descendants, so much so that some Robinson participants joined the Evans DNA project in order to explore this possible relationship.

Matthew Robinson came from Augusta Co, VA to Abbeville District, SC and his descendants are a close DNA match to the David Roberson line (neighbor of Matthew Robinson family in 1790 Census).

David Robertson (Robertson, Robeson, Robinson) died 1821 in Franklin Co., Tenn.

"Matthew Robinson bought land in Long Cane Creek, Abbeville District, SC in 20 Feb 1769 next door to John Logan. (Could this be David's father? Long Cane Creek (is) also where Kerrs & Walkers settled."

Logans married Evanses.
