The Late Robert M. Atkinson.

Superintendent Brooks, of the Soldiers’ Home at Raleigh, writes us of the death there, on February 22d, in his 80th year, of Robert M. Atkinson, of Co. A., 5th N. C. State Troops.

He was a resident of Fayetteville, and leaves a sister, Mrs. Susan Smith.

He went to the home only a few days before his death. He bore the scars of wounds received at Gettysburg.

He was buried in the Confederate Cemetery at Raleigh, his pallbearers were comrades at the Home; and Rev. Mr. Stevenson conducted the services.

The superintendent adds that they have lost four this year by death; that there were then 103 in the Home, with 16 off on furlough.
