The following information submitted by Clifton Baccus:

Elbert was found to be a student at Fairview in 1922. He enlisted during World War II on March 20, 1941 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was discharged on October 30, 1945

After the war, he worked as a farmer and rancher until his death which resulted in a fall from a hay truck near Lipan, Texas
