Mary K. Sadler, 96, a Lewiston home-maker for nearly 50 years, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday at the Orchards Nursing Home where she had resided since 1976.
Mrs. Sadler and her hudband, Robert P. (Pat) Sadler, moved to Lewiston in 1934. Sadler was a logger and Potlatch Corp. employee. He died in 1977.
Mrs. Sadler enjoyed writing short stories and was a concert pianist before her marriage to Sadler on March 22, 1919, at Yonkers, N.Y. She also taught for a time at the Meridian Female College Conservatory of Music in Mississippi.
She was born Dec. 12, 1883, at Decatur, Miss., to Thomas and Adeline Keith. She lived in Mississippi until 1919, when she and her husband moved to Cascade, Idaho.
She is survived by her foster children, Don and Cleo Coulter of Lewiston.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Normal Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. William Hughey of the First Baptist Church of Lewiston officiating. Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
