FINAL RITES HELD FOR I(E).M. HARTIN PIONEER RESIDENT 5/23/1968

Funeral services were Saturday for Emerson Irvin (Em) Hartin, pioneer Marshall county resident who died Friday afternoon in a Tishomingo hospital.
Mr. Hartin had been seriously ill since May 8. He was 75 years old.
A native of Temple, Tex., He was born May 8, 1893, and moved to Indian Territory, now Marshall county as a young boy.
He was married to Miss Addie Duncan December 21, 1919. They farmed for many years east of Madill.
After he retired from farming the couple moved into Madill and lived here untill his death.
Mr. Hartin was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by five sons, Top Hartin of Madill, Bill Hartin of Fort Worth, Tex., Curtis Hartin and Bob Hartin, both of Amarillo, Tex., and Glenn Hartin of S..ter, Calif.
He is also survived by two daughters, Mrs. Emma Voyles of Kingston, and Mrs. Marie Wright of Irving, Tex. Also, 12 grandchildren and twe great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Robert Hartin of Oklahoma City and John Hartin of San Antonio, Tex; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Pool of Cumberland, Mrs. M.J. Edwards of Arcadia and Mrs. Sally Ryan of Tulsa.
Rev. Floyd Harris was in charge of the funeral services. He was assisted by Rev. Beecher Kuykendall. Music was arranged by Mrs. Francis Standridge.
Burial was in Woodberry-Forest Cemetery with Watts Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket escorts were Rex Morrell, Hank Hartin, Ronnie Har...... [the rest is unreadable]
