Mavis Nadine Adams, 74, died Feb. 4, 2008, at Iron County Hospital in Pilot Knob, Mo.
She was born April 16, 1933, in Success, Ark., daughter of the late Rudy and Velma (Cates) Littrell.
She married Samuel LeRoy Adams May 2, 1953. He survives and resides in Vulcan.
Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and a charter member of Outreach Pentecostal Church of God in Gads Hill.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Stephen (Mary) Adams, Owensville, Paul (Missy) Adams, Vulcan, Rev. Tim (Alice) Adams, Annapolis; five daughters, Sharon Garner, Plato, Doris (Wayne) Boatright, Vulcan, Alesia (Alan) Harlan, Poplar Bluff, Donna (Calvin) Ruth, Owensville, Joan (Jim) Gilliam, Potosi; three brothers, Hal (Mildred) Littrell, Doniphan, Linden (Edith) Littrell, Annapolis, Elmer (Claudet) Littrell, Doniphan; two sister, Syble Waller, Doniphan, Sue (Dale) McCormick, Farmington; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Gary Garner, two brothers, Noel and Amos Littrell, and one sister, Jane Million.
The funeral was held Feb. 7 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev John D. Adams, Rev. David Cowin and Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Mrs. Adams' granddaughters provided music, accompanied by Jim Gilliam.
Pallbearers were Stephen Adams, Josh Adams, Clifford Callahan, Kevin Quaite, Daniel Adams, David Adams, Kenny Boatright and Jared Gilliam. Burial was in Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc.
