PENDLETON — Esther Marie (Harman) Trout, 87, a resident of Pendleton, formerly of Wilkinson, passed away June 25, 2007, at the Rawlins House, Pendleton.
She was born July 4, 1919, in Alexandria, to the late Homer and Bertha (Kubic) Harman.
Esther graduated from Alexandria High School in 1937. While in high school she participated in art and helped with the senior yearbook. Her love for art continued as she enjoyed oil painting, ceramics, and later stain glass work. She worked at Delco Remy for 38 years. She was a member of the Markleville East Christian Church. She was a wonderful friend, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose (Jerry) Darling of Wilkinson and Susan (Ron) Adams of Freemont; a son, Larry (Vera) Trout of Pendleton; six grandchildren, Michelle (Dave) Sylvester, Sheree Hedrick, Jim (Judy) Trout, Curt (Jen) Trout, Deanna (Dan) Shroyer, and Charlene (Carlos) Irizarry; one stepgrandchild; many great- grandchildren; like a mother to Steve (Sheila) Leathers, Bonnie Leathers, and Ann Hughes (deceased); several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin D. Trout; a brother, Irvin Harman; two sisters, Marjorie Diamond and Betty Walker; and special friend, Robert Leathers.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Condo & Son Funeral Home, Wilkinson with John B. Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Markleville East Christian Church or to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
